Whats new 2010

 I'M SO EXCITED!!

With a NEW YEAR, NEW CHALLENGES , NEW VILLA as my first project for the year.

A beautiful new 3 bed, 2 bath villa in a lifestyle village is waiting to be decorated with finesse!!

My client is downsizing from a large penthouse apartment which is full of beautiful antique furniture and artifacts by having a new modern and chic place to call home.

With a fantastic blank canvas to work with we can now start to put it all together with Staged with Finesse.

Having decided to bring the 2 lounges, 2 ottomans and chair from the previous home (which we are going to re cover in fresh vibrant new fabrics) we have the beginnings of a wonderful new look and lifestyle for my client.

When you enter the front door it will be pretty clear just what the colour palette for the whole house is going to be.  We have chosen a crisp, fresh look using modern furnishings and textures to enhance what we have and give it a big WOW factor.

By mixing and matching the basics - the colours of the wall and trim, tiles and carpets,  we will then add the eye catching accessories to bring the whole room to life.

HERE IT IS!!

The before and after photographs - What a difference Staged with Finesse can make to a blank canvas!!

 Time to get decorating!!

With a large open living/dining area we were able to create spaces into rooms giving definition to the whole area.  The newly covered couches and chair take pride of place and give a real pizzaz when first entering the home. Bright accent colours on the walls and in decorator items add the WOW factor and keep the eye moving throughout the area.

Bringing the old into the new!

In the master bedroom we wanted to use  the bed, furniture  and bed linens as well as window treatments  from the previous home, so we added some accent colour in bed throws, pillows and decorator items to 'put it all together'  and continue the colour palette we had used in the other areas.

We decided to keep the guest bedroom cool and crisp, using  bed linens in white with green accents, white bedside lamps and  tables.  Accent pieces with wall art and decorator items give the room a real WOW! factor and once again bring some of the chosen colour palette into play.

With much anticipation 'move in' day arrived and my client was so excited to be able to enjoy her new home.

This is what Beryl had to say:

Colette your professional approach together with your warm, friendly manner made it a pleasure to work with you.  Questions like - "what do you think..?and "Would you be opposed to..?" or even "Let me handle this" -- helped me be involved and  very relaxed in every aspect of the project.

You listened to my questions and doubts with patience and understanding and together we made the right choice.  Your attention to detail and skill of getting everything 'exactly right' never ceased to amaze and please me.

You were able to achieve our goal of being on time and on budget.

The workmanship of the tradesmen was excellent.

I am thrilled with the finished look of my new home.

Once again thank you Colette, I am certainly " Staged with Finesse".
