My business partner Gilian, and I had an investment property to sell. It was a beautifully sited 2-bedroom unit
with river views, but it was looking very tired and uninteresting, having been a long-standing rental. "Attractive"
and "desirable" were not words I could truthfully use to advertise the property.
We decided to let Colette Smith, Manager of "Staged with Finesse" a Staging and Redesign
Company help us prepare the unit for sale. We were happy to go along with her suggestions of attending to maintenance
issues (non-working exhaust fans replaced, paint walls, install new carpet, change damaged doors, rip out unsightly old cupboards
and replace with modern storage systems, etc).
Colette
then proceeded to 'stage' the unit with hired furniture, lamps and linen all astutely chosen and expertly positioned
to make optimum use of spaces. Even wall-art, cushions vases and decorative pieces were chosen by her. Her talent
in interior design and colour choices turned an ordinary unit into a fabulous showpiece. Of course, the proposed asking
price went up a few notches.

The unit was a worthwhile investment, made even more lucrative by the appointment of "Staged with Finesse".
In the current "buyers market", Colette gave us the all-important edge to blow the competition away, without having
to reduce our price in order to achieve a sale.
