I AM MOVING AND HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOUSE EMPTY - IS THIS OK?

 

It is always best to have a home decorated to sell  - empty rooms eat into the equity in your home.  An empty room leaves it wide open for 'nit picking' by the buyer, instead of seeing it's features they see things they don't like!  It is hard for the buyer to picture what a room is for when it's empty. If you have to take your furniture away it will pay you to have a Home Stager hire the furniture to decorate it - remember, whatever the cost of hiring - if you don't sell quickly and have mortgage, insurance, power, gardeners etc., to pay for the cost of hiring becomes minimal.

 

INSIDE IS ALL DONE - DO I NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE OUTSIDE?

Of course you do - in fact it is VERY IMPORTANT that we have 'curb appeal' - a buyer is starting to form an opinion the minute they pull up at the curb side.  We need to make the entrance warm and welcoming - a old and tatty worn out mat and cobwebs around the door do not set it off to it's best advantage. Drivways, paths and garden beds should all be 'tidy and re mulched if necessary. YOU NEVER GET A 2ND CHANCE TO MAKE A 1ST IMPRESSION.
